Forays into Card Making

A recent creation for a dear friend's marriage.

Front: Vintage image, stamps, acrylic paint,  gold paint pen, Neocolor II.

Back: Scrap tag, antique map, text in reference to the couple's honeymoon destination, Washi tape, gesso.
This piece is more of a postcard than a traditional folded card. A note and the wedding gift were tucked into the pocket I created.

The envelope was also handmade from a print of a vintage map. I'm too impulsive with my crafting to actually source and use a template, so I did a lot of trial and error snipping until it looked "right."
This project was a super fun way to use up my growing paper stash and embrace try a bunch of mixed media.

It also led to the first time I didn't have to frantically search for a card store on the to way a wedding. Double win.

A view of the New York countryside en route to the event.
